Major Achievements
The Registration Department has achieved a lot in a short stint. The following are the achievements of Registration Department:
- 100% computerization registration through NGDRS in all 86 Sub Registrar Offices (SROs). A reform towards good governance.
- 100% Collection of Stamp Duty through e-stamping.
- 100% Collection of Registration fee through JKGRAS.
- No more waiting periods with 42 slots available in a day in each SRO.
- No cash transactions. Collection of Stamp Duty through e-stamp certificate, reducing administrative expenses/costs and burden of carrying voluminous papers. Registration Fee through GRAS/IPG of J&K Bank.
- Integration of NGDRS with various other portals such as NSDL (Pan Verification), digilocker, InvestJK.in, JKbank, LRIS, SCHIL, e-GRAS and RAS.
- Biometric capture of thumb/fingerprint impressions..
- E-Search for DA and other cases.
- CCTVs with two way audio for enhanced surveillance. Process initiated for centralised monitoring of SROs through CCTVs.
- SMS alerts to citizens on various stages of registration.
- OTP based authentication of SR login as an additional security feature.
- Dashboards for IGR/AIGRs for monitoring key performance indicators (KPI).
- Establishment of Help Desk.
- Checklist of documents notified for each Article/Instrument for hassle free registration. Also, hosted on the citizen login of NGDRS portal and linked with each Article/Instrument
- Online receipt and disposal of grievances
- Automation and augmentation of infrastructure of the SROs.
- Inclusion of Registration Services under the Jammu and Kashmir Public Services Guarantee Act (PSGA), 2011
- Replication of best practices/technologies of other States.
- FAQs for reference of SRs.
